Occupational Therapy can target goals such as:
- School Readiness – fine motor skills, handwriting, social skills, behaviour, self-help skills
- Play and Social – developing play ideas, turn taking, sharing, playing with peers, playing in a group, collaborative play
- Fine Motor – we target fine motor strength and coordination so clients can write, dress and engage in self-care tasks as independently as possible
- Handwriting – from prewriting skills to handwriting speed and writing endurance – we’ve got you covered!
- Gross Motor – upper body strength, postural control, core strength
- Emotional Regulation – meltdowns, tantrums, frustration and anger management, teaching self-regulation and co-regulation skills
- Behaviour Management – supporting parents, caregivers and a client’s support team (teachers, carers) to manage challenging behaviours
- Activities of Daily Living – showering, dressing, grooming, toilet training, toileting, perineal hygiene (bladder and bowel management)
